Quad Cities Latino Cinema Series

The Quad Cities Latino Cinema Series continued with a special screening of Stand and Deliver at The Last Picture House, bringing the community together for an evening celebrating Latino culture, education and local impact.

Guests were welcomed by cars from the Latin Persuasion Car Club outside the theater and oldies playing in the lobby before gathering for the film.

A highlight of the evening was the Greater Quad Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce presenting the inaugural GANAS Award to Carlos Jimenez. The award recognized Carlos for his years of dedication to educating, encouraging and supporting young people in our community. Several of his former students were also in attendance to help celebrate the recognition.

The evening was a great example of what the Quad Cities Latino Cinema Series is all about: bringing people together through film while celebrating the stories, culture and people that make an impact in our community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us.
